The Tern Cove ( English for Tern Bay ) is a small bay on the north coast of Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located southeast of Berry Head . Your entrance is blocked by submarine reef rocks. The head end of the bay, in which there are three small islands, falls dry when the tide is low .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out a rough map in 1933. The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey named it after a survey in 1947 after the colony of antipode terns that live on the southernmost of the three islands .
