The 2005 Chinese Super League was the second season of the top Chinese division in men's football . It opened on April 2, 2005 and ended on November 5, 2005.

The number of participating teams was increased to 14 compared to the previous season by the promoted Shanghai Zobon and Wuhan Huanghelou and it was determined before the start of the season that there would be no relegated team. Chinese champions became the first since the introduction of the Chinese Super League Dalian Shide , which secured the title on matchday 24 with a 2-0 home win against Wuhan Huanghelou.
