The Ternyck Needle is a prominent and 365  m (according to British data 435  m ) high nunatak on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises 2.5 km east of the entrance to Martel Inlet at the base of the Krakow Peninsula between Admiralty Bay and King George Bay .

The Nunatak was mapped during the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot . The further naming background is unknown. A possible namesake is a sponsor of the research trip.
