Terry Moore (comic artist)
Thomas Terrell Moore (born November 19, 1954 in Houston ) is an American comic book author and illustrator. He became known for his award-winning work Strangers in Paradise . From 2008 his series Echo appeared , from 2012 his series Rachel Rising . He also worked as a writer on the series Spider-Man loves Mary Jane (5 issues in 2007) and Runaways (9 issues 2008-2009). The German-language editions of Strangers in Paradise, Echo and Rachel Rising are published by Schreiber & Leser .
Life
Before he went freelance as a comic book author, he was a video editor in an advertising agency. After several unsuccessful attempts to get signed to a daily newspaper as an author and illustrator of so-called "Daily Strips", he became aware of the then booming market of so-called alternative comics while visiting a comics shop . From this inspiration grew his main work Strangers in Paradise , which he distributes through his own publishing house, Abstract Studio .
Terry Moore lives in Houston with his wife Robyn Moore, their two children, and the family dog, a Shih Tzu named Misha.
