Terry Morel

Terry Morel (born January 29, 1925 - June 24, 2005 ) was an American jazz singer .

Morel had a first record session with pianist Tony Luis' trio for Prestige Records in 1955 ; In 1955 she presented the album Songs of a Woman in Love on the Bethlehem Records label , accompanied a. a. by Ralph Sharon and Herbie Mann . In 1957 he made live recordings with the Gerald Wiggins quartet in Los Angeles ("But Not for Me"); last recordings were made in October 1957 ("Day In, Day Out" / "Skylark"). Morel was involved in five recording sessions in the field of jazz between 1955 and 1957. In 1962 she appeared in the American television series Frankly Jazz , where she interpreted the jazz standard What Is There to Say ( EY Harburg / Vernon Duke ), accompanied by a studio band made up of Bud Shank , Clare Fischer , Gary Peacock , Larry Bunker and Frank Guerrero .
