Terry Newton (born November 7, 1978 in Wigan , † probably September 26, 2010 there ) was an English rugby league player. Newton played for the Leeds Rhinos , Wigan Warriors , Bradford Bulls and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in the Super League .

Doping affair and death

In February 2010, Terry Newton was the first athlete ever to be proven to be taking the growth hormone somatotropin , after which he was banned for two years. At the end of September 2010 he was found dead in an apartment.
