Tetsurō Tamba ( Japanese 丹波 哲 郎 , Tamba Tetsurō ; actually Tanba Seizaburō , Japanese 丹波 正 三郎 ; * July 17, 1922 in Tokyo ; † September 24, 2006 ibid) was a Japanese actor .

Tamba began in 1952 with a small role as a film actor and was involved in nearly 200 productions by the time he died. His career peaked in the early 1970s when he appeared in some of the most important and successful films of the time. His internationally best-known role, however, was that of the tiger Tanaka in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice . He also proved himself to be a writer and producer of documentaries.
