Thai TV5 ( Thai สถานี วิทยุ โทรทัศน์ กองทัพ บก , translated: "Army radio and television station") is a Thai domestic television station based in the Bangkok district of Phaya Thai , which can be received via antenna, satellite and cable television in Thailand and neighboring countries. The owner is the Thai army .

In contrast to Kanal 7 , whose program operation is completely outsourced to a private licensee, the Army operates Kanal 5 itself, but assigns individual program windows to private production companies. Thai TV5 had an average audience rating of 7% and an advertising market share of 17.3% in the second quarter of 2011.
