The Thala Hills are a group of coastal rounded hills in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . They loom between Freeth Bay and Spooner Bay .
Aerial photographs taken in 1956 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) were used to map them. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the research vessel Thala Dan that ANARE scientists used to sail to these hills in February 1961.
