The Appeal of Conscience Foundation

The Appeal of Conscience Foundation is a foundation founded in 1965 by the American Rabbi Arthur Schneier , which sees itself as an interdenominational partnership between spiritual leaders who come together to work for "peace, tolerance and the solution of ethnic conflicts".

The foundation awards, among other things, the World Statesman Award . This was awarded to Henry Kissinger , Rupert Murdoch , Peter George Peterson ( Blackstone Group ), Nicolas Sarkozy and Gordon Brown as well as the German politicians Gerhard Schröder , Hans-Dietrich Genscher , Richard von Weizsäcker and Angela Merkel .
