The Big Surprise - Your Most Beautiful Nightmare was a television show in which people in a deliberately created predicament were followed by hidden cameras. In return, a wish was granted to the protagonists.
The first episode aired on January 15, 2015, the second episode on May 21, 2015, and the third episode on October 1, 2015.
concept
The program consists of several contributions. In each of these, a protagonist is followed with a hidden camera in which he is supposed to experience his personal nightmare. They were registered for the show by good friends. The victims are rewarded for their hardships with the fulfillment of a wish. For example, in the first edition of the program, a Bravo intern is supposed to interview the band The BossHoss , who are supposed to dump him with pretended arrogance and end up having a relationship with his girlfriend. As compensation, the victim receives a wish and is given a motorcycle.

While the pilot program on January 15, 2015 reached a total of 1.78 million viewers, the second episode only had 1.29 million viewers among the total audience of 3 years and over. The Big Surprise received mixed to negative reviews after it first aired. Carin Pawlak from Focus discussed the show as a format in which people would be displayed in an unworthy manner. Felix Reek from Web.de writes: "The Big Surprise" wants to be young television, but it's just chewing on the same thing over and over again. Do you understand fun? For the selfie generation .
