life and career

Michael Anthony Hall was born in Jamaica but grew up in London . He was active as a DJ and singer from a very early age and in 1982 he achieved a European dance hit as Mike Anthony with Why Can't We Live Together , which went platinum in Belgium. In 1987 he came to Switzerland and was henceforth known as Mr. Mike. He got a job at the Swiss radio station Couleur 3 and began as Djaimin's voice, with whom he soon realized songs together. The countless Saturday night live broadcasts from house clubs such as the Casino de Montreux or New York Club Neuchâtel quickly achieved cult status among enthusiasts. Under the name The Black & White Brothers , they produced the songs Put Your Hands Up and Pump It Up! In 1998 . who achieved top international placements. Both songs were successfully released again in 2004 and 2005 by the Belgian musician Danzel .

In 1991 and 1998 he worked as a singer with the Swiss hip-hop band Sens Unik on various songs. At Couleur 3, he presented the radio programs “Pump It Up” and “Groovelift”. The latter was also a successful party label for years. In February 2007 he ended his collaboration with Couleur 3 and with it the party series Groovelift and switched to Radio NRJ Léman , where he directed the program “NRJ Mastermix” for some time. After he organized a party at the X-Tra under the label “We Love House” together with the world's largest house label Defected Records after the Street Parade in 2005 , he has been using this label for his events ever since. Internationally he can be found regularly in Singapore , Ibiza or Miami , where he organizes a party during the Winter Music Conference . He can still be heard on the radio every week on Radio 105 , where he has hosted the program “105 The Box” since 2006.

In 2002, Mr. Mike founded his own record label, MAP Dance Records , to promote up-and-coming talent from the Swiss house scene internationally. His label achieved the greatest success with Yves Larock from Neuchâtel , who had two international top ten hits in 2004 with Zookey and 2007 with Rise Up . From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Mike was also represented with a Love Mobile at the Zurich Street Parade to market his label and its artists.

Mr. Mike has been the vocalist with DJ Antoine since 2010 . He accompanies the Swiss DJ during his appearances and provides live performances in the clubs.
