action

The documentary follows the relationship between Uli Sigg and contemporary Chinese society over the stages of his professional career - from developing the first joint venture for the Schindler Group to his time as the Swiss ambassador in Beijing, to his return to Switzerland and the Cooperation with the M + Museum in Hong Kong. The connection between Sigg and the transformations of the Chinese art scene is conveyed by protagonists such as Wang Guangyi , Fang Lijun and Ai Weiwei - in addition to Uli Sigg, he was already a protagonist in the documentary Bird's Nest - Herzog & de Meuron in China . Together with the archive recordings from Uli Sigg's time in China, they provide an insight into the complex relationship between state and art that continues to this day.
