The Flatliners are a Canadian punk rock band formed in Toronto in 2002 .

history

Founded in 2002, the four Canadians initially played a few local shows and immediately produced their first demo, which already made it to airplay on local radio stations. Shows continued in Canada and songs were added to some samplers before their debut album Destroy to Create was released on Stomp Records in 2005 . On the debut, the musical style was still based on Ska-Punk, as it was especially marked by Operation Ivy (band) at the end of the 1980s. They were later signed to Fat Wreck Chords , the California punk rock label of NOFX singer and bassist Fat Mike , where their second studio album The Great Awake was released in 2007 . The album marked a change in style towards more straightforward punk rock with only a few influences of ska. From then on they were on tour, among others with some punk rock greats like Bad Religion , NOFX and Dropkick Murphys . In the fall of 2009, the 3-song appeared 7 " - EP Cynics on Fat Wreck Chords your third full-length studio release. Cavalcade was also published on 13 April on Fat Wreck Chords, the band plays after an extensive European tour in June. and July 2010 as part of the Warped Tour numerous concerts in the US and Canada. on 28 September 2010, a further three-song 7 "EP called Monumental published, in addition to the eponymous track that already Cavalcade to was heard, contains two unreleased songs from the Cavalcade recording sessions.
