The Gap (English for the gap is) a mountain pass on the southern branch of Hut Point Peninsula on the Antarctic Ross Island . It runs between Crater Hill and Observation Hill .
Participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901–1904), led by British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott, mapped and named him. They used the pass at ground level to cross the southern part of the Hut Point Peninsula.
