The Gathering is the first studio album by the Israeli psychedelic trance duo Infected Mushroom . The album is characterized by a dark and organic atmosphere typical of trance and Goa. The record cover was created by the Israeli artist Eyal B.

backgrounds

In retrospect, Eisen was not very satisfied with the production of the album and points out that he was relatively young at the time the album was recorded. There are only a few good pieces on the album, especially Tommy the Bat . Nevertheless, the album is considered a classic in the Goa scene. The track "Psycho" in particular has become very popular. It has over 15 million views on the Internet video portal Youtube .

reception

Dean Carlson from Allmusic listened to the Gathering with restrained samples for the "more sensitive" listeners, "torrential" arrangements for the "less sensitive". Although he described the album as "pretty good", the rating was 2.5 out of five stars.
