The Music Explosion

The Music Explosion was an American pop band from Mansfield , Ohio , who were discovered by producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz for their Buddha Records label and were supposed to spread their new Bubblegum sound.

Kasenetz and Katz and Elliot Chipruit produced the song Little Bit O'Soul , which became a hit in mid-1967 (number 2 in the US charts) and paved the way for later bubblegum groups such as Ohio Express and 1910 Fruitgum Company .

Little Bit O'Soul became a million seller and remained the only big hit of the group (the successor Sunshine Games only made it to number 70 in the top 100 of the US charts for 5 weeks). Incidentally, the song was written by John Carter and Ken Lewis , who enjoyed further great successes as songwriters . a. celebrated with The Ivy League or Herman's Hermits .
