The Narrows is an east-west running, 3 km wide strait in the Caribbean , which lies between the island of St. Kitts (in the north) and the island of Nevis (in the south). Both islands belong to the Lesser Antilles and the island state of St. Kitts and Nevis .
The Narrows connects the Caribbean Sea to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. As shoals, the Cow Rocks lie in the center of the strait and to the east is Booby Island .
