The Number Twelve looks Like You was an American mathcore band from Bergen County , New Jersey , which was founded in 2001 under the name End Ever and broke up in 2010. The name is borrowed from an episode of the TV series Twilight Zone .

history

The band was founded in 2001 by singers Jesse Korman and Justin Pedrick, guitarists Alexis Pareja and Jamie Mcilroy and drummer Christopher "Chree" Conger under the name End Ever. After releasing a demo and a few more songs, bassist Mike "Smoogs" Smagula joined them and the band renamed themselves The Number Twelve Looks Like You. In 2003 the debut album Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses was released . After appearing together with Ion Dissonance in 2004 , the band signed a contract with Eyeball Records , which in January 2005 released the EP An Inch of Gold for an Inch of Time , which was recorded at Glass Studios in Paramus . The album Nuclear followed in the summer of the same year . Sad. Nuclear. This was followed by tours with Through the Eyes of the Dead , Heavy Heavy Low Low and Yakuza . Meanwhile, drummer Conger left the band and was replaced by Jon Karel.

Before working on the third album, bassist Smagula left the band and was replaced by bassist Chris Russell. After the recordings followed performances with GWAR , Every Time I Die , Shadows Fall and Darkest Hour . The album Mongrel was released in early July 2007. Meanwhile, guitarist Mcilroy left the band and was not replaced. In April 2009 the last album followed with Worse Than Alone . In January 2010 the band played their last concert.

style

The band plays demanding and aggressive mathcore, with influences from grindcore , metalcore and jazz .
