The Onslaught ( Engl. For The rush ) is debut album of American thrash metal band Lazarus AD It was first published in 2007 as domestic production before the year 2009 by Metal Blade Records was released again.
Emergence
The basis for the debut album was laid with the demo released in 2006 , which contained the songs "Last Breath", "Revolution" and "Rebirth". In January 2007, the band recorded the album on their own in the Bell City Sound studio in Racine . The album was recorded by producer Chris Djuricic. The mixing and mastering took James Murphy .
Originally the debut album should be called The Onslaught - Revolution, Part I or The Onslaught - Rebirth, Part II . On the advice of James Murphy, the band decided with The Onslaught for a catchier name.
After the band was signed by Metal Blade Records in 2008, Murphy remixed the album again. In addition, the album cover was changed before the work was re-released in spring 2009. Music videos were shot for the songs “Absolute Power”, “Revolution” and “Rebirth” .
