The Romeo ( Japanese ロ メ オ ) is a Japanese rock band that has been under contract with StarGuild Inc. since 2007 .

While the singer of Psycho le Cému at the time , Daishi Kajinaga, was pursuing a solo career in 2005, he was already supported by drummer Shingo, guitarist Daisuke and bassist Hiroki. After the end of Psycho le Cému , Daishi decided not to continue to publish CDs under his name, but to start the band The Romeo with its support members in June 2007.

Band history

In 2005 Daishi Kajinaga started his solo career, which was characterized by hard rock. Even then, drummer Shingo (Ex- Killers ), bassist Hiroki (Ex- Killers and Hyde ) and guitarist Daisuke (ex- Psycho Candie ) supported him as a Kajinaga Band on this project. The result of this collaboration was the 2007 album God Japanese Monsters . After the separation from Psycho le Cému , it was quiet around the singer for a short time until June broke. He stated that he no longer worked under the name Daishi, but rather created a large project with his support members. The Romeo was born and symbolized the equality of the members.

On August 8 of the same year, they released their first album called Julieta . With this album they toured Japan. Various Internet radio appearances followed, including on SQF. Her new single Joker , which was in stores from March 19, 2008 and was dedicated to rock, was also presented in this program . This CD also contained the jazz ballad Black Butterfly and three other songs. In 2008 their first live DVD was released, which included a recording of the God of Death Carnival tour from July 2008. The release date for the band's second album has not yet been set.

Music genre

The Romeo themselves describe their music as a mixture of rockabilly , rock 'n' roll , rock and jazz .
