The command center (original title: The War Room ) is an American documentary from 1993 by Chris Hegedus and DA Pennebaker about Bill Clinton's presidential election in 1992. The film was released on December 5, 1993 in American theaters. In Germany, the film was shown for the first time at the Berlinale on February 13, 1994.

Filmmakers Chris Hegedus and DA Pennebaker joined Bill Clinton's campaign staff in 1992, beginning with the New Hampshire Primaries until the day after the election. They focus on two staff members: On the one hand James Carville , who is nicknamed Ragin ' Cajun ( angry Cajun ), on the other hand the communications manager George Stephanopoulos , both of whom are campaign strategists in the front row. Through the film, the viewer learns a lot about Clinton's ideals and methods.
