The Whazz is a three- piece Austrian alternative rock band from Vienna . It was founded in Vienna in 2007 for a television commercial that advertised the Gröbi lemonade brand .
history
For the spot, singer Bobbie Singer composed the guitar pop number What a Day . The Soundfeiler studio team , Martin Riegler, Heinz Donaubauer and Matthias Wondrak, were responsible as producers .
After the spot gained popularity, the Ö3 broadcaster took the group into its program in July 2007 . Her song then hit the station's listener charts. Finally he placed in the Austrian single charts in September 2007. At the end of September 2007, the band made their biggest live performance to date as part of the ORF's Top Spot Gala .
In the summer of 2008, the group released their second single That Girl .
The group is under contract with the record label edel SE .
In autumn 2010 The Whazz was nominated for the Austrian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 . The band did not reach the top 30 group.
