The Whiskey Foundation is a blues rock band from Munich founded in 2011 .
history
The band members got to know each other when the Lucky Fish guitarist Pascal Fischer heard Murat Kaydirma, who was playing street music at the time, at Sendlinger Tor and immediately invited him to a jam session with the pianist Julian Frohwein. In connection with this jam session and a bottle of the alcohol from which it is named, "The Whiskey Foundation" was founded.
In 2013, the band then self-published their first studio album, Take the Walk . Concerts all over Germany followed. A year later, Mood Machine, the second studio album , was released in 2015 by Munich-based independent label Sun King Music . In addition, the band was named "Band of the Week" by the PULS broadcasting company of Bavarian Radio . In the summer of 2015 The Whiskey Foundation together with had trouble Vintage opening act of AC / DC .
In October 2017, the third album was released with Blues and Bliss (Sun King Music, CD and vinyl). They were one of the main acts at the PULS Festival 2018.
