The theater… und so fort is a Munich private theater under the direction of Heiko Dietz . The independent theater group theater ... und so fort was founded in 1989. In 1999 the theater ... and so on was opened. The acting school TheaterRaum München is affiliated with the theater . It is also a member of the Network Freie Szene München eV .

The profile of the theater… und so on is shaped by Heiko Dietz . The program includes premieres of their own plays, co-productions, guest performances, stage programs by magicians (including the Munich Magic Weeks ), readings and performances for children (“Dr. Döblinger's Punch and Judy Theater”). In addition, there is a special interest in discovering new authors. The house opens up as a stage for talented actors and directors' debuts.

theater ... und so fort was founded in 1989 as a free group by Fritz Spaeder . In 1994 the management was handed over to Heiko Dietz and Christian Kroos , who led the ensemble to its current professional status. In cooperation with THETA eV, the association for the promotion of independent theater and dance culture in Munich (legal entity), the rooms of the former modern theater (1968–1998) were taken over by Uta Emmer on January 1st, 1999 and the new venue was opened on January 24th. Opened February 1999 with machina by Christian Kroos.
Since 2001, the theater has been funded by the cultural department of the City of Munich .
Since October 15, 2004 the training center TheaterRaum München , vocational school for acting and directing, has been affiliated with the theater.
From 2009 to 2017, the theater was located on Kurfürstenstraße in the former location of the Unterton Theater by Jörg Maurer , where it had twice as many seats as before and had its own restaurant. The venue had to close due to water and asbestos damage due to poorly executed courtyard renovation.
After a two-year search, the theater has been located in the Sendling-Westpark district on Hinterbärenbadstrasse since autumn 2019 .
