Theatrical axis
The theaterachse is an Austrian independent theater group.
Emergence
The theaterachse was founded in 1994 by Markus Steinwender , Thomas Schächl , Mathias Schuh , Claudia Schächl . The occasion was the previous production Herz & Leber, Hund & Schwein by Hansjörg Schneider (director: Doris Harder ), in which the founding members played.
Die theaterachse edits and plays literary classics that rarely find their way onto the theater stage ( Cyrano de Bergerac , 1996; Don Quijote , 1997; The Hunchback of Notre-Dame , 1998; Die Nibelungen , 2000; Die Kamelliendame , 2003;) and theater -Classics in modern arrangements with singing ( Der Sommernachtsraum ; Romeo and Juliet ; Much Ado About Nothing , 2005; Faust , 2007).
Andreas Baumgartner , Wiebke Scheschonka and Christian Scharrer were among the guests at the theaterachse .
In 2007 the theater axis staged Faust - The Tragedy First Part (2007) with Melanie Kogler as Gretchen, Georg Reiter as Faust, Thomas Schächl as Mephisto and Christian Scharrer in all other roles.
Children's theater
Since 2001, develops and plays the theater axis theater for children and young people (mostly in small ensemble Hansel and Gretel , 2001; Papa now lives in Heinrichstraße of Paul and Nele Maar, 2004; King Thrushbeard ; Kalif Storch , 2004; Snow , 2006; Tischlein deck dich , 2007; Cinderella , 2008). Here they went to the audience with some world premieres ( Das lilabunte Zeitschwein ; Mama is not doing so well today ).
In-house productions
Since 2003 they have been working on their own pieces with contemporary authors ( hcartmannfasten , 2003; How the wolf eats Thomas Bernhard based on texts by Rudolf Habringer , 2004; Tränen der Heimat by Lutz Hübner , 2004; Waidmannsheil! By Susanne Hinkelbein , 2006; Palacinky by Brigitta Waschnig and Thomas Schächl , 2006).
