Susanne Hinkelbein
Susanne Hinkelbein (* 1953 in Stuttgart ) is a German composer .
Life
After studying piano with Paul Buck at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts , Susanne Hinkelbein studied German, psychology and philosophy. At the same time she composed stage music on behalf of various choirs and theaters.
From 1980 to 1984 she was musical director at the Landestheater Tübingen , from 1985 to 1990 musical director at the Schauspiel Köln . She has been working as a freelance composer and author since 1990. In addition to many stage music and other commissioned compositions, he created operas, numerous choral works, around 200 songs, film music, radio plays, melodramas, plays and musical installations in public spaces. Together with Ulrike Böhme, she founded the art and culture festival inter! M , which takes place in different locations on the Swabian Alb . In a team with Böhme, she also curated the first two festivals in 2013 in the Alten Lager near Münsingen and in 2017 in the Heidengraben region near Grabenstetten , Erkenbrechtsweiler and Hülben .
