Thomas Schächl

Thomas Schächl (born September 26, 1966 in Schwarzach im Pongau , Salzburger Land ) is an Austrian actor.

Life

In his youth, Schächl was a member of the Austrian cross-country skiing team, but was always interested in the theater. After his first experience in shepherd games, he founded the theater group blackZACH, which mainly staged plays by Jean-Paul Sartre , Albert Camus and Bertolt Brecht . Schächl studied theology in Salzburg , in his diploma thesis he analyzed the baroque play "Disceptatio inter viros et mulieres" by P. Wolfgang Rinswerger .

During his training he learned buffalo theater with Giora Seeliger , body theater based on Jacques Lecoq with Christian Sattlecker and movement theater with Ursula Demarmels .

Schächl has been involved in Linz at the Children's Theater and Theater Unser since 1998 .

After 1429 performances in the children's theater, Thomas Schächl worked as a teacher for religion and cross-country skiing at the Eisenerz secondary school from autumn 2012 .

Schächl has been the Upper Austrian regional trainer for the resort's cross-country skiing since September 1, 2019.

Thomas Schächl lives with his wife and two children in Puchenau , is a track and field trainer at ATSV Linz and heads the stage play group at the Bischöflichen Gymnasium Petrinum .
