Christian Scharrer

Christian Scharrer (born December 22, 1969 in Waldshut ) is a German chef .

Life

Scharrer completed his training from 1985 to 1988 at the Hotel Schwanen in Waldshut. Next His career also the Hotel Colombi in Freiburg until 1990 and the "Jörg Müller" restaurant from Jörg Müller in Westerland on Sylt to 1991st

In 1991/1992 he was Chef Gardmanger in the "Brückenkeller" wine house in Frankfurt am Main. From 1992 to 1995 he worked at the Landshut Hotel Fürstenhof, then for three years at the Hotel Villa Hammerschmiede in Pfinztal . In 1998 he moved to Harald Wohlfahrt 's restaurant Schwarzwaldstube at the Hotel Traube in Baiersbronn- Tonbach as sous-chef.

As head chef of the Gut Faistenberg restaurant in Beuerberg , where he worked from 2000 to 2002, he was awarded a Michelin Guide star for the first time . From 2002 to 2008, as kitchen director, he was in charge of the Imperial restaurant in the Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe in Bühl (Baden) . In 2005 he was named Chef of the Year by the Gault-Millau restaurant guide .

After ten months at the Airport Club in Frankfurt am Main, he went to Lübeck-Travemünde in December 2008 . There he was Chef de Cuisine at the Buddenbrooks restaurant in the Hotel Grand Spa Resort A-Rosa Travemünde . The restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars. From April 2014 to April 2016, Scharrer was the chef at the Aphrodite restaurant in the Giardino in Ascona .

Since June 2016 he has been head chef at the Courtier restaurant in the Hotel Weißenhaus Grand Village Resort & Spa , which was awarded one star by the Michelin Guide in his first year as head chef and two stars in Scharrer's second year.
