Theater School Bruneck
The Theater School Bruneck is the only training facility for theater professions in South Tyrol. Between 1997 and 2003 she trained actors , directors and stage technicians for professional theater life. After a six-year break, it was brought back to life in 2009 under the auspices of the Brunico City Theater .
The Bruneck Theater School is an all-day school. The training takes a total of 3 years and is financed by the European Social Fund and the provincial government of South Tyrol . For students admitted after an aptitude test, lessons and a stay in Bruneck are free.
The facility differs from most other drama schools in that not only classical acting lessons are given, but that every student can and must also learn all other theater activities. Also directing , dramaturgy , stage - and costume design , makeup , lighting and sound equipment , etc. are on the lesson plan.
All lecturers are employed at theaters and have international experience. In order to check the development of the students, an examination takes place annually in front of the lecturers. The result of this examination decides on continuation and admission to the examinations before the Austrian Joint Drama Commission "Art and Media" in Vienna.
