Thebe (daughter of Asopus)

Thebe ( Greek  Θήβη ) is the daughter of the river god Asopos and Metope in Greek mythology . This Thebe was the lover of Zeus and afterwards wife of Zethos , who conquered Thebes with his brother Amphion . The city, which was previously called Kadmeia or Echionia, was named Thebes in honor of Zethos' wife.
