Theo Heimes (born November 6, 1923 in Milchenbach ; † March 10, 2008 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and later also took the master craftsman examination in this profession . After his military service , which he did with the pioneers on April 15, 1942 (he returned from Russia with an Iron Cross 2nd class and a wounded badge as a private), he worked as a bricklayer, foreman and independent building contractor.

In 1952 Heimes became a member of the SPD and was represented in numerous party committees.

MP

From May 28, 1975 to May 29, 1985 and from January 22, 1988 to May 30, 1990 Heimes was a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected from his party's national list. In the tenth electoral term he moved up on the list.

From 1952 to 1969 he was a council member of the Saalhausen community . From 1969 to 1978 and from 1984 he was a member of the city ​​council of Lennestadt . During this time he campaigned for Saalhausen to be recognized as a climatic health resort. He was a member of the district council of the Olpe district from 1962 to 1984.
