Theo Nabicht (* 1963 in Ebersbach / Sa. ) Is a German woodwind player (soprano, alto, tenor saxophone, bass clarinet, double bass clarinet) and composer .

From 1983 to 1987 Nabicht studied saxophone, flute and piano at the "Hanns Eisler" Academy of Music in Berlin . From 1995 to 1997 he completed a master class for bass clarinet at the Strasbourg Conservatory .

Theo Nabicht has worked with Bert Wrede , the Vielharmonie Orchestra , the BakaMutz quartet with Bert Wrede, Thierry Madiot and Mauro Gnecchi , Gebhard Ullmann's large formation Ta Lam 10 and the clarinet trio with Ullmann and Jürgen Kupke since the 1980s . There were record releases and participation in international (jazz) festivals with musicians such as Phil Minton , Mikhail Alperin , Lutz Glandien , Werner Dafeldecker , Anthony Braxton , Peter Kowald and Fred Frith . Nabicht is a long-time member of the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin and a guest at the Klangforum Wien . Today he mainly deals with the performance of contemporary composed music (for example by Giacinto Scelsi , Rolf Riehm or Helmut Oehring ) and new improvisation music . He is also active as a composer; He composes in particular for theater productions at the Münchner Kammerspiele , the Schauspiel Frankfurt or television productions.
