Theodor Deneke
Karl August Theodor Deneke (born July 30, 1860 in Hanover , † July 18, 1954 in Hamburg ) was a Hamburg doctor and professor .
Life
After studying medicine in Göttingen, Tübingen, Strasbourg and Munich, Deneke received his doctorate in 1884. In 1886 he received a position as an assistant doctor at the St. Georg General Hospital and later became a physician at the Medical College there. In 1901, he succeeded Hermann Lenhartz as director of the St. Georg General Hospital and held office until 1926. When the Hamburg University was founded, Deneke was appointed professor there.
From 1895 to 1901 Deneke belonged to the Hamburg citizenship as a member of the "faction of the right".
