Theodor Dolezol

Theodor Dolezol (born August 18, 1929 in Duisburg ; † July 27, 2013 ) was a German author and journalist for young people .

life and work

Theodor Dolezol was born in Duisburg in 1929. Dolezol attended high school in Breslau and Düsseldorf . After studying theater studies , new German literature , psychology and philosophy at the Universities of Marburg, Bonn and Munich, Dolezol worked as a freelance writer and science journalist.

In 1969, Carl Ueberreuter published his first publication with the title Aufbruch zu den Sternen . In 1973 the second volume Delphine, People of the Sea was published. This was followed by the non-fiction books Planet des Menschen in 1975 and Adam begat Adam in 1979. In 1976 he was awarded the German Youth Literature Prize in the non-fiction category for his volume Planet des Menschen .

From the mid-1960s to the mid-1990s, he headed series of scientific topics on radio . He was a member of PEN and TELI .

Since 1966 he was married to Hannelore Dolezol (née Fritsch). Theodor Dolezol last lived in Munich. He died on July 27, 2013 at the age of 83.
