Theodor Ebert (Hebrew)
Theodor Ebert (* 1589 in Frankfurt (Oder) ; † October 3, 1630 ibid) was a German Hebrew .
Life
Theodor Ebert was a son of the Frankfurt theologian Jakob Ebert . He became an eminent Hebraist and tried his hand at Hebrew poetry, which he published in several editions. In 1619/1620 he set up a kind of system of sciences under the title Manuductionis ad discursum artium et disciplinarum methodicum secriones sedecim . He was a professor of Hebrew at the Alma Mater Viadrina .
His son Friedrich (1628–1680) became pastor at St. Gertraud in Frankfurt (Oder) in 1660 . His older brother Theophil († 1641) was an archdeacon in Frankfurt.
