Theodor Gustav Harder

Theodor Gustav Harder (* 1762 in Pötschendorf near Rastenburg in East Prussia ; † April 18, 1811 in Bublitz in Western Pomerania ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Harder had attended the University of Königsberg from 1779 to 1781 and studied philosophy and theology there with Immanuel Kant and Johann Ernst Schulz . He was a conscientious objector and evaded military service by escaping. He went to Western Pomerania , where he initially worked as a private tutor in Rügenwalde and then in 1788 became a preacher in the village of Pustamin . In 1790 he became provost of Bublitz and in 1806 superintendent .

In addition to the sermon given after the great conflagration in Bublitz, which Hendes in Stargard i. Pom. was published, he has published articles in various journals, including in the organ of the economic society in Potsdam. Harder died in Bublitz at the age of 49.
