Theodor Hecht (architect)
Theodor Hecht (born April 28, 1850 in Blankenburg (Harz) , † May 4, 1917 in Hanover ) was a German architect .
Life
Hecht first completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and studied from 1872 at the Hanover Polytechnic , a. a. as a student of Conrad Wilhelm Hase . His brick buildings followed the shape tendencies of the Berlin and Hanover Schools .

- 1877–1881: Central slaughterhouse and cattle yard
- 1882: Competition design for a tower on the Astenberg (awarded an honorary prize)
- 1887: Bath house in Sankt Andreasberg
- 1889: Mellini Theater (together with Heinrich Siepmann )

- Conversion of a residential building into the Spiegelberg bank
