Theodor Hoppe (architect)

Theodor Hoppe (born November 4, 1831 in Vienna ; † January 22, 1897 there ) was an Austrian architect .

Hoppe attended the Vienna University of Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . In 1875 he became a certified expert in the building trade and, as a master builder, was responsible for the construction of numerous Viennese palaces, residential and apartment buildings, workshops and factories from 1860 onwards. He also worked from 1867 to 1887 as head of the builders' cooperative and from 1871 was an arbitrator in the engineering and architecture association. In 1889 he was appointed kk building officer.

Hoppe was the son of the builder Anton Hoppe and the father of the architects Paul and Emil Hoppe .
