Theodore W. Jennings

Theodore W. Jennings (born October 24, 1942 in Gainesville , Florida - † March 25, 2020 ) was an American Methodist theologian .

After studying theology, Jennings received a BD from Duke University in 1964 and a Ph.D. at Emory University . Jennings taught at the Mexico City Methodist Seminary for three years . He was an ordained Methodist pastor. Jennings was Professor of Biblical and Constructive Theology at the Chicago Theological Seminary of the United Church of Christ . He wrote about Methodist and Wesleyan beliefs and LGBT rights in his books .
