Theodoros of Hermoupolis
Theodoros von Hermoupolis , also Theodoros Scholastikos , Theodorus Scholasticus, Theodorus Hermopolitanus, was a Byzantine jurist in the second half of the 6th century.
He came from the Thebais in Egypt and was a practicing lawyer ("σχολαστικός"). Around the year 578 he wrote a paraphrase of the novellas of the Byzantine emperors Justinian I and Justin II, issued between the years 533 and 575. The work follows the order of the novellas in the collection of 168 short stories.
