Theophil Spörri
Theophil Spörri (born February 22, 1887 in Winterthur , † April 1, 1955 in Basel ) was a Swiss theologian .
Life
Theophil Spörri was a lecturer in New Testament theology, dogmatics and the history of religion at the Preachers' Seminar in Frankfurt am Main from 1922 to 1944 . In 1930 he wrote the manual for teaching catechism, which is important for many Methodists . After Frankfurt he was a teacher at the Basel Mission . His doctrine of the Faith Man and the Good News (1939 to 1956) remained unfinished. Theophil Spörri was the cousin of the Romanist Theophil Spoerri .
