Theresa Prammer (* 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author , actress and director .

Life and accomplishments

Theresa Prammer was born in Vienna in 1974. From 1996 to 1999 she attended the Krauss drama school in Vienna and also took part in various workshops and film courses. As an actress, she had engagements on the stage (including the Burgtheater in Vienna and the Vienna Volksoper ) and in film and television. In addition, she directed plays in Vienna and the Komödienspiele Neulengbach, which she founded with her husband Joseph Prammer in 2006 and has directed ever since. From 2011 to 2014 she was the evening director of the Vienna Red Cross Ball in the Vienna City Hall .

In 2013 she made her debut as an author with the novel The Rescue of Earthworms at SüdWestBuch Verlag. In her cheerful entertainment novel, the entertainer Frank Sinatra plays a leading role as the heavenly messenger. 2015 followed her first crime novel Viennese Songs on the Death in the Ullstein publishing a series of murders in the famous Vienna State Opera . This novel was the prelude to a new series about the Viennese private investigator Carlotta Fiore. In 2016 the second part Murderous Truths and in 2017 the third part The Unknown Sister was published by Ullstein Verlag.

Awards

In 2015 she was awarded the Leo Perutz Prize for Viennese Totenlieder .
