Therese Bengtsson (born February 13, 1979 in Eslöv ) is a former Swedish handball player .

Career

The 1.87 m tall goalkeeper initially played in her home country, where she won the championship twice. After she was active for the Norwegian club Bjørnar Håndball, she played in the 2007/08 season for the German club HC Leipzig , with which she triumphed in the DHB Cup in 2008 . In the 2008/09 season she played again in Sweden for Team Eslövs IK. Then she ended her career. In the 2016/17 season she played again for Team Eslövs.

Bengtsson played 33 games for Sweden . With the three-crown team, she finished sixth at the 2006 European Championships in her own country and also qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics .
