Therese von Wüllenweber
Therese von Wüllenweber (born February 19, 1833 in Korschenbroich , † December 25, 1907 in Rome ) was the co-founder of the order of the Salvatorians .
Life
Baron Therese von Wüllenweber was born at Myllendonk Castle as the daughter of Theodor von Wüllenweber. She had four younger sisters. Therese wanted to work as a religious in the mission from her youth and tried to be accepted into various congregations, which she was denied.
On December 8, 1888, she founded the religious order in Tivoli near Rome together with Father Franziskus Maria vom Kreuz Jordan , whom she met on July 4, 1882 in Germany and who had already founded the Society of Salvatorians in Rome on December 8, 1881 the "Sisters of the Divine Savior" (Salvatorians) and became their Superior General. From then on she called herself Mother Mary of the Apostles . The order was confirmed by the Vatican with the Decretum laudis in 1911, four years after her death, and received ecclesiastical approval in 1926 .
Her eyesight deteriorated with age. She died of asthma and meningitis and was buried at her own request in the Campo Santo Teutonico . On October 13, 1968, Paul VI spoke . she blessed. Before that, their bones were exhumed and taken to the mother house of the congregation.

- 2004: Memorial plaque in the parish church of St. Andreas, Korschenbroich
- 2009: In Vienna- Hietzing (13th district) the Wüllenweber-und-Jordan-Platz was named after her and Franziskus Maria vom Kreuze Jordan.
