Theresienstraße 10

The building at Theresienstraße 10 in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and is registered in the Bavarian list of monuments under the number D-6-72-114-353 .

history

The property was built as a spa hotel in 1911 by the Bad Kissingen architect Franz Krampf . Today it houses apartments.

The Baroque motifs of the complex, such as the banded ground floor and the mansard roof, are - most likely inspired by the Bad Kissingen buildings by the architect Max Littmann - used under the influence of the strict late Art Nouveau . The pilaster , which was also inspired by Baroque architecture, can also be found in this form, for example, on the Untere Marktstrasse 8 property .

Four residents of the property were persecuted during the Nazi era . In 1943 the married couple Fanny and Siegfried Bloemendahl and their sons Manfred and Josef Bloemendahl were deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp , where they died. Four stumbling blocks in front of the property are a reminder of her .
