history

The core of the four-storey mansard roof was built in 1860 as a former sanatorium. It was designed in Baroque Art Nouveau style and provided with a curved gable and terraces on the west and east sides.

The property was given its current appearance in 1897 when it was rebuilt and expanded by the Bad Kissingen architect Carl Krampf . It belongs to several Bad Kissingen buildings such as Bismarckstraße 36 , Kurhausstraße 11a and Menzelstraße 19, which were converted from an original Neo-Renaissance building into an Art Nouveau building.

In 1907, Carl Krampf created the Balthasar-Neumann-Promenade 16 extension .

Franz Krampf (brother of Carl Krampf) carried out a further expansion in 1910.
