Thermopause

The thermopause (from the Greek θερμός , thermós “warm, hot” and pauein “end”) is the atmospheric boundary layer between the thermosphere and the exosphere . The location of the thermopause cannot be specified exactly, but it can be found at an altitude of about 600 - 800 km.
