Thierry Lenain
Thierry Lenain (* 1959 ) is a French author for young people.
Life
Lenain initially worked as a teacher, especially with disabled children. He has been writing books for children and young people as a freelance author since 1992 and published over twenty titles by 2014. He has three children himself.
He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the youth magazine Citrouille des Buchhandels ("Association des Librairies spécialisées pour la jeunesse"). In 1992 he received the Grand Prix du Roman Jeunesse of the French Ministry of Youth for the book Das Mädchen am Kanal , and in 2000 he and the translator Anne Braun received the German Youth Literature Prize and the Lufti for the same book . For Il faudra with the illustrations by Olivier Tallec, the Italian translation Bisognerà received the Premio Andersen in 2006 .
