Thilo Freiherr and Herr von Werthern (born March 18, 1818 at Beichlingen Castle ; † February 1, 1888 in Großneuhausen ) was a Prussian landowner and politician.

family

Thilo von Werthern came from the Thuringian noble family Werthern . He was the second eldest son of the manor house member Ottobald von Werthern-Beichlingen and his wife Luise, née Freiin von Rotberg . The Prussian diplomat Georg von Werthern-Beichlingen (1816–1895) was his older brother.

Thilo von Werthern married Maria von Heyden-Linden (1835–1860), daughter of the royal , in 1858 . Prussian chamberlain and hereditary cupbearers in Altvorpommern Helmuth von Heyden-Linden (1801–1872). The couple had two children, Georg (1859–1939) and Ida-Marie (1860–1948).

Life

Thilo von Werthern managed the family estates Kölleda and Großneuhausen . From 1869 until his death he was a member of the Prussian manor house on presentation of the old and fortified real estate in the rural district of East Thuringia. Thilo von Werthern was a legal knight of the Order of St. John .
